The Now Habit: The Warning

The first chapter of the book I am reading (The Now Habit) goes over the signs or warnings about procrastination. To be honest it is very hard to kind of admit that you procrastinate, because it is something that no one wants to do. (Pgs 10-15) Some of the signs that best fit me are:

1) Difficulty unwinding at night
2) Lose track of how I spend my time
3) Get distracted with something that is free of a problem

The other book I am reading called Procrastination by Jane Burka Ph.D. and Lenore Yuen Ph.D explains another aspect of this habit.

1) My Procrastination has prevented me from doing everything that I am capable of, especially in school.
2) This problem only really effects me in school. I work extremely hard in baseball and I never procrastinate in my workouts because I enjoy them. I need this viewpoint for academics as well.

Start of my project

I am doing Procrastination for my psychology project. I must research through websites and two books to figure out how I can improve myself. In order to start this I must realize that getting my work done in a timely fashion will bring down my stress levels and allow me to enjoy my free time.

My books are going to be ready for this Monday so now lets see if I can turn this thing around!
